This week, temperatures in the UAE are set to soar, with certain areas in Abu Dhabi expected to reach a sweltering 48°C. Such extreme heat is anticipated to hit on Thursday, particularly affecting regions within the Abu Dhabi emirate like Mezaira, Gasyoura, and Al Quaa. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi city itself is predicted to experience a high of 43°C on that day.
In contrast, Dubai is likely to experience marginally cooler conditions, with the mercury expected to peak at 40°C on Thursday. This rise in temperatures comes after a relatively mild spring that was marked by occasional unsettled weather patterns. Over the past few weeks, several areas across the nation have already seen temperatures climbing beyond 40°C, indicating the imminent arrival of summer.
The UAE will officially enter the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere on June 21. Meteorologists anticipate that these hot conditions will persist throughout the region in the upcoming weeks, reflecting the typical weather patterns of this time of year.
