The United Arab Emirates is bracing for intense heat as temperatures are predicted to soar over the next few days. Inland areas could see highs reaching up to 48°C, forecasters have reported. The upcoming weather will mostly feature clear skies and light to moderate winds, with limited chances of significant weather disturbances.
Inland regions are expected to experience temperatures ranging from 44°C to 48°C on Friday. Meanwhile, coastal and island areas might see the mercury rise between 36°C and 43°C. The mountainous regions are forecast to record temperatures between 32°C and 39°C. Winds are predicted to come from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 10 to 20kph, occasionally reaching 30kph, while sea conditions are anticipated to remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
This hot and mostly clear weather pattern is expected to persist through the weekend. There is a possibility of low clouds forming over parts of the eastern coast on Saturday morning. Additionally, winds could strengthen at times, reaching speeds up to 40kph. A slight drop in temperatures is anticipated on Sunday as northwesterly winds become more active. While the Arabian Gulf may sometimes experience rough conditions, the Sea of Oman is expected to remain slight to moderate.
Similar weather patterns are forecast for Monday and Tuesday, with fair skies and occasional morning clouds along the eastern coast. Winds are expected to be fresh at times, and sea conditions are forecast to gradually improve as the week progresses.
Meteorologists have indicated that the UAE is entering a period of typical early-summer weather, characterized by very hot daytime temperatures, clear skies, and generally stable atmospheric conditions.
