In a significant diplomatic engagement, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The discussions underscored the UAE’s steadfast commitment to its citizens and the advancement of national development goals. Both leaders highlighted the central role of Emirati citizens in the country’s development strategy, emphasizing their importance in realizing the UAE’s long-term objectives. They also offered prayers for the continued security, prosperity, and advancement of the nation.

Accompanying Sheikh Hamad was Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah. The high-level meeting saw the participation of several prominent officials, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Other attendees included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, among various ministers and government officials.

The dialogue was part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing efforts to conduct regular consultations aimed at evaluating national priorities. These consultations are crucial for enhancing cooperation among the emirates and improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. The meeting’s focus on fostering inter-emirate collaboration highlights the UAE’s strategic approach to holistic national development.

This meeting comes on the heels of President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April, which included a tour of Fujairah Port. During that visit, the leaders reviewed development projects and operational advancements at the port, a key maritime gateway for the UAE. Such visits and meetings are integral to maintaining momentum on initiatives that support the country’s growth and development objectives.
