UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored teachers on World Teachers’ Day, recognizing their significant contributions to education and the development of future generations. He shared a personal photograph from his childhood along with a thank-you note he wrote to his teacher in 1971, underscoring the lasting impact educators have on students and society.
In addition to Sheikh Mohamed, other prominent UAE leaders also expressed gratitude towards teachers. Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised their role in shaping future generations and enhancing the nation’s human capital. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the crucial role of education in the UAE’s progress, emphasizing that teachers are pivotal in helping young people develop knowledge and ambition.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Foreign Minister, acknowledged the vital part teachers play in the nation’s advancement by fostering knowledge and preparing future generations. Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri also emphasized the central role of teachers in achieving the UAE’s long-term educational and developmental objectives.
World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5, serves as a global occasion to celebrate educators and their invaluable contributions to education and society worldwide.
