Emiratis Permitted to Visit Lebanon as UAE Lifts Travel Ban

by admin477351

The United Arab Emirates has announced the lifting of its travel ban on Lebanon, allowing Emirati citizens to visit Lebanon once again. This decision comes after a temporary suspension was imposed due to regional security concerns. Emiratis wishing to travel to Lebanon must register through the Twajudi emergency assistance service, as per the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry has emphasized that without completing this registration process, citizens will not be permitted to depart through UAE border points.

Previously, the travel ban was part of broader restrictions affecting travel to several countries amid heightened regional tensions. During this time, Emirati nationals in Lebanon were advised to return home and seek help from authorities if necessary. The recent easing of restrictions marks a shift towards enhancing bilateral ties and improving cooperation between the two nations.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his approval of the UAE’s decision, highlighting it as a testament to the robust relationship between the two countries. He noted that this move could foster stronger collaboration and enhance people-to-people connections. The announcement comes on the heels of dialogues aimed at boosting relations, regional stability, and security cooperation between UAE and Lebanese leaders.

The discussions between UAE President Sheikh Mohamed and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun have also centered around efforts to support peace initiatives and reinforce diplomatic relations. These conversations are part of broader attempts to maintain regional harmony and strengthen the partnership between the UAE and Lebanon.

The easing of travel restrictions is announced shortly after Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement, which is seen as a step toward peace. This agreement has been welcomed by regional partners, who are hopeful that continued diplomatic efforts will foster a more stable and peaceful environment in the region.
