As the Eid Al Adha holiday approaches, the United Arab Emirates is set to experience rising temperatures and increased humidity at night, according to forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology. The country is expected to see generally fair to partly cloudy weather throughout the holiday week, with temperatures climbing as the summer season draws near.
While a brief respite in the form of a slight temperature drop is anticipated on Sunday, fog or mist may develop in some western and coastal regions during the night and early morning hours. However, the hotter weather is predicted to return by Monday, aligning with the start of the Eid break for government workers.
During the holiday period, temperatures could soar to about 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Alongside the heat, humidity levels are forecasted to rise during the night and early morning, particularly in coastal areas.
Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are projected to remain calm during this time. The upward trend in temperatures marks the UAE’s transition into its summer season, following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several areas have already experienced temperatures exceeding 40°C.
Astronomically, summer in the northern hemisphere officially begins on June 21, signaling the onset of hotter weather patterns in the region.
