Rain, Dust, and Strong Winds to Hit UAE, Officials Warn

by admin477351

The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a spell of unsettled weather, with forecasts indicating more rain, dusty conditions, and strong winds expected over the coming two days. Meteorologists from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) have predicted that wind speeds could reach up to 45 kilometers per hour, impacting visibility and travel conditions.

While regions such as Fujairah and Al Ain in the eastern and western parts of the country are likely to experience rain and convective clouds, major cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi are predicted to remain mostly dry. Despite the lack of rainfall in these urban areas, the authorities have cautioned residents to be mindful of blowing dust that could significantly reduce visibility on the roads. Motorists are advised to exercise extra caution while driving under these conditions.

In addition to these weather challenges, the UAE is expected to endure extremely high temperatures throughout the weekend. Abu Dhabi could see temperatures soar to 46 degrees Celsius, while Dubai is not far behind, with predictions of up to 45 degrees Celsius. The heat will be even more intense in Al Quaa, where temperatures might reach a sweltering 49 degrees Celsius.

The combination of high temperatures and challenging weather conditions calls for increased vigilance among residents and visitors alike. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and urge the public to stay informed about the latest weather updates to ensure their safety and well-being during this period of adverse weather.
