UAE Streamlines Passport, Visa Services with New Direct Appointment System

by admin477351

Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have rolled out a new online appointment system for passport, visa, and attestation services. This change allows applicants to book appointments directly through an official portal without incurring any booking fees. The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now managing these consular services directly from their offices, aiming to streamline the application process, enhance efficiency, and eliminate unauthorized service charges.

According to officials, the new system mandates that appointments for these services must be made exclusively through the designated online portal. Applicants are cautioned against paying any individuals, agencies, or intermediaries that claim to offer appointment bookings or expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.

The missions have also issued a warning regarding organizations or representatives that purport to be officially authorized to provide appointment services. Such claims should not be trusted. Individuals who feel they have been misled, overcharged, or falsely represented are encouraged to report these incidents through the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.

Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are advised to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for information related to consular services. This measure is intended to help them avoid falling victim to fraud and unnecessary charges.
